Challenge #25 Demon Lovers with Rick St Dennis

Wow! What a great 3 day Blog Hop with Smeared and Smudged! I hope you all enjoyed the Bloody Valentine hop as much as we did here at LOC! If you're not sure what I'm talking about, scroll down and check out the posts from the last three days!

Our new challenge this week, just in time for Valentine's day is love with a twist!! Demon Lovers is the theme for the next fortnight and our fabulous sponsor is none other than Rick St Dennis. He has allowed the design team here to play with some of his great images which you can find at his Zibbet or Etsy stores.

Before we show you some inspiration, I have another new member of the Design Team to introduce today! I dont know how she does it but this lovely lady is sitting today with a three week old baby and has made a fabulous first card for LOC! Congratulations on the new arrival from all of us at LOC!

Hi thought I would introduce myself. I am Cat and have been crafting for nearly two years now, although looking at my craft room you would think it had been longer lol. Myself and my husband have three children Shona-Rose who's 5, Katherine who's 4 and Thomas who is 3 weeks. The girls love to craft with me which makes it so much better, even when they pinch my stock. I love zombies and the gouls always been a bit of a nerd too when it comes to comic books, and when I pluck up the courage to snip a comic book I would love to craft with them too. Really looking forward to creating with you all and hope I can match your standards xxx
Catherine has used the 'Newly Deads' image to create this fabulous card!

And now for the rest of Team A.

Eileen has used Miss Razz Matazz

Pam has used the Newly Deads

PennyRae has also used Miss Razz Matazz

Keren has used Amulet

Bloody Valentine Blog Hop with Smeared and Smudged Day 3

Welcome to the third and final day of the Bloody Valentine Blog Hop with Smeared and Smudged - More from Smeared Ink, We hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have here at LOC! And, just in time for the final day, we have good old Blogger Comments back - no more Google+ thankfully!

Our project for today comes from another new DT member, Susan Renshaw. Susan has created a fabulous card, I hope you will consider popping by her blog and leaving some love there too!
I printed both my images ( 'bleedinghearts300' from British Isles Artworks and 'bleeding hearts' by Rebecca Sinz ) on watercolour paper and then watercoloured them with Memento re-inkers. I tore out each image and then distressed with scattered straw. Each image was then mounted on lovely hand-made paper and then layered onto a beige cardbase. Finally I added a metal heart.
Thanks Susan!

If you have been hopping, the next stop is - Lisa. If you got here by random, why not jump back to the start and have great hop!

Bloody Valentine Blog Hop with Smeared and Smudged Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Bloody Valentine Blog Hop with Smeared and Smudged - More from Smeared Ink. Just to answer some queries, I'm working on getting Blogger Comments back on and removing the Google+ comments... will be as quick as we can! In the meantime, we appreciate the visits and I'm so sorry if you cant leave a comment - perhaps you would visit today's LOC Crew member Rachel and leave some love on her blog!

Rachel has created a card using a digi stamp called Demon Lover from one of our other LOC Crew members - Eiglas! You can find her fabulous Digi Store here.
For this piece, I chose Eiglas's demon lover . He was coloured in promarkers and for the background he is against I used part of a Gorjuss A4 paper , distressed , inked then matted on black coredinations.
Behind that is a piece of lace paper that was a free digital download, with blood splats and drips created by putting pink food colouring in a misting bottle, depressing the lever , removing tube and nozzle then letting go of the button. there are purple shimmers in the blood too, because the previous inhabitant of the bottle had been some purple mica . that paper is edged by self adhesive lace flowers coloured to a dark burgandy with one of my promarkers, two black heart die cut corners and another piece of black coredinations card.
A fabulous card Rachel - thank you!

If you have been hopping, the next stop is - Lisa. If you got here by random, why not jump back to the start and have great hop!

Bloody Valentine Blog Hop with Smeared and Smudged Day 1

Morning LOC'ers! We are joining in our first Blog Hop as a Design Team with the ladies at Smeared and Smudged - More from Smeared Ink! I have gotten a few of the girls on board with some fabulous projects to share with you! The theme for the hop this next few days is 'Bloody Valentine'! I hope you will enjoy and hop along with us!

First up today, I have Lisa Tyrell who is fairly new to the team but has signed up for just about everything I've suggested since she started and has created this fabulous Nightmare Before Christmas themed Bloody Valentine Card.

Here it is and a wee bit about it!

I startd off with the two images. The skulls is a digi image and the main image was black and white with shading (I can't tell you who they are by as I have had thm for so long). I colourd both with colouring pencils and shaded around the edges with pencils and ink. The mounting card in kraft card, and the backing is made with lots of different disress inks and a heart stencil. I finisged by heat embossing areas and adding red heart gems and pearls.

Here's a card too from Maureen, that you might have seen earlier in the hop. Using Delicious Doodles La Rosa Muerta. Hop over to Maureen's blog for more info!

If you have been hopping, the next stop is - Lisa. If you got here by random, why not jump back to the start and have great hop!
