Bloody Valentine Blog Hop with Smeared and Smudged Day 1

Morning LOC'ers! We are joining in our first Blog Hop as a Design Team with the ladies at Smeared and Smudged - More from Smeared Ink! I have gotten a few of the girls on board with some fabulous projects to share with you! The theme for the hop this next few days is 'Bloody Valentine'! I hope you will enjoy and hop along with us!

First up today, I have Lisa Tyrell who is fairly new to the team but has signed up for just about everything I've suggested since she started and has created this fabulous Nightmare Before Christmas themed Bloody Valentine Card.

Here it is and a wee bit about it!

I startd off with the two images. The skulls is a digi image and the main image was black and white with shading (I can't tell you who they are by as I have had thm for so long). I colourd both with colouring pencils and shaded around the edges with pencils and ink. The mounting card in kraft card, and the backing is made with lots of different disress inks and a heart stencil. I finisged by heat embossing areas and adding red heart gems and pearls.

Here's a card too from Maureen, that you might have seen earlier in the hop. Using Delicious Doodles La Rosa Muerta. Hop over to Maureen's blog for more info!

If you have been hopping, the next stop is - Lisa. If you got here by random, why not jump back to the start and have great hop!

So pleased to be here & looking forward to getting to know you all.....and bringing out my darker side, I kind of lost myself a bit along the way so it's lovely to have a place to come play! Anyway, as you've probably guessed, I can't half waffle.....I'm a stay at home Mum of 6, (5 boys & 1 girl) carer to my eldest (he had a stroke almost 6 years ago just before his 21st) and love crafting, coffee, my Kindle, loud heavy rock music, denim, & my Converse!
Thanks a million for having me......looking forward to the challenges!

Challenge #23 - Scary Stories!

Time for another Left of Center Challenge! Check out the top toolbar for a link to the rules - nothing major, but just a reminder that if you would like to enter our challenge, we would really like you to mention us on your post somewhere and link back to us or you may not be considered for a prize! thanks!

Our fabulous sponsor Ike's Art is up again this fortnight with an awesome theme - Scary Stories! The design team this week have outdone themselves with their scary designs and I cant wait to show you what we have for you to get you going! We are also introducing some more new Design Team members!

Say hello to Rocio De Alba -

I am Rocio! And I wanted to introduce myself to all the talent on this awesome site. I can't tell you how absolutely thrilled I am to be joining in the ranks of you gals. Everyone here is so ubber talented so I am just beyond excited to be a part of it all. I live in New York with my four kids and hubby. Things are quite busy and non-stop but we manage. I was originally from Central America but grew up in Los Angeles, CA. I've lived in New York for 10 years now! WHA?! Ten Years? Sheesh, it's flown by too quickly. am a total dork at heart and love me a good dessert! I got a chance to sell my crafts and photos at local flea markets this summer and had such a good time. Anyway, thanks again for having me on the team. I can't wait to get started on making some goodies.

Rocio has used Ike's Lenore, Tell Tale Heart and raven papers in her first LOC creation

Next Up we have Eileen Nicholson, aka Eiglas -

hello from sunny (NOT!) Liverpool from me, Eiglas. I'm an elderly lady ( in my 60's) with four grown-up kids and two dogs but no-one reminded me and so despite being a Nanna three times over, I still like my denim, black leather and rock music! ;) I have my blog Eiglas and my digi site Eiglassing  but both have been a bit neglected until recently (.. although I used to run them properly when I was on DT's before...!). I'm not very 'girly' and I love moody Steampunky stuff but I also really like vintage 'white on white'. Not keen on the dysmorphic cartoony images although I love a challenge.
I draw stuff (hence my digi-site) and if anyone would like a particular image I will endeavour to draw one for you (just ask anytime and I will, for a small consideration, create one for you.).

Eiglas has used the Raven background paper

With the new design team members on board - a few more you haven't met yet - we have split the team into two! So this is Team A for today and you will meet Team B next week. Here are the rest of the team for this week!

Lorraine has used Wolf to create a 'Werewolf in London' scene for her scary story

Steph here has literally created a scary story using the Goblin image

Keren has also gone with a book, using the Poe Tell Tale Heart image

And we have PennyRae who has used Vaguely Goth with the Raven background paper on her creation.

As always, you can pop by the girls' blogs' for more details on each project and more inspiration from team B will be here next week with the winners of our last challenge.

Get your thinking caps on, pick your favourite scary story and join us this week for a challenge!

I am 33 and I live in a small village in the middle of nowhere near Peterborough.
I have always been a crafter in some form, starting with knitting as a child, and cross stitching Christmas cards for family members.
I love my crafts, especially my card making. I have a lot of crafty friends who I met on facebook, and as many of us as possible meet at least once a year.
I look forward to working with you all, and being part of this lovely DT.

Rachel Gillham
My name is Rachel, I am 26 and have always dabbled in craft of one form or another. I have only fairly recently got into paper crafting, I think I started in May last year, and have already learnt so much (I think anyway)
I have 2 small children of the ages 2 and 4 1/2 , a husband and a cat (perdi pops) and live in Rutland which stands for the middle of nowhere ;)
I love steampunk and the darker gothic side of things but can just as easily turn my hand to girly ... I think having a girly girl in the house helps with that!
This is my first real time DT ing, though I also do some work for Samaflora

I hope you will join me in welcoming the lovely Lisa and Rachel to the team, I can tell you that their work is fabulous, just check out their blogs for more info!

And dont forget, New Beginnings, Join in!
